Your thinking way too small. What prevents you from seeing your friends in the virtual world. Unlike standard games, VR really allows you to trick your brain to believe as if you are actually there. The people you see in VR will be convincingly real given that their movement will tie directly into the game. In the end all that separates VR from real life are photons, sound waves, and a little tactile feedback.
Steam always likes to ask me to do the surveys on may secondary computers rather than my main gaming machine. That always annoys me to no end. Is there anyway to initiate the survey yourself?
I think the omission is more likely due to the fact that the Arabic language is read right to left. I would assume that all languages that the PS4 currently supports are read left to right. They would have to develop separate code just for one exception. It will likely come it time, but not for release.
Just venting. I have gone Steam shopping many times with the simple goal of purchasing Mega Man or something similar. Unfortunately, the few games that look similar to Mega Man are either clunky, slow, or functionally different.
So? One of the creators of Mega Man is actually giving fans of the Mega Man series what they want because Capcom with their infinite incompetence won't. Capcom would make so much money off Steam if they released the Megaman series on PC. But no! They maliciously try to kill off the franchise.
That said, Inafune has my money.
I had a similar issue just the other way around. I discovered 360's disc drive was broken when I tried to insert a new game (the clicking was horrifying). The only thing the drive could do anymore was perform the disc verification for installed games. So, I spent the summer playing Halo 3 until I had time to send in the 360 to Microsoft.
The bundled defibrillator vest activates when the Kinect no longer senses any pulsation coming from your face. This is a life-saving feature! =P
Fortunately, most come with Steam keys. It's only Battlefield 3, Dead Space 3, and the Sims 3 that don't have steam keys.
Shadow of the Colossus is a game that shouldn't just stay on a to-do list. Get off N4G right now and go play that game!
Those stupid stamps of awards and retailer exclusive bonuses actually deter me from purchasing that version of the game. I have actually gone out of the way many times to be the older versions of the games simply to avoid that crud. As a specific example I remember seeing Uncharted 2 when it released... and also after every conference/journalist/website gave it a perfect score and put it on the cover. The awards effectively formed a frame around Drake.
So true. Unlike most I am not waiting for Half-life 3 or even Half-life 2: Episode 3. What I look forward to is Half-life 2: Episode 2: Chapter 1. Keep your goals realistic people. =P
You asked for it. *Deep Breath*

"Steam Summer Sale 2013 Has Concluded, What Did You Buy?"
Too much.
Big mistake, don't know how they missed that.
Anyways, I really enjoyed all the Zelda games that Capcom and Nintendo collaborated on. I am really happy that they are going back to a more traditional art style and gameplay for The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds. The cel shaded style's gameplay (handheld versions, not Wind Waker) just felt lacking compared to most of the previous games.
Using the same assets again is much cheaper than creating a whole new set of assets for a new game. It's costly to create new games or franchises.
I can't bring myself to open and play my copy because it will no longer be collectible after opening it. It's tough to be both a gamer and collector. Tough choices have to be made. =(
You have played 91.8 hours in the past 2 weeks! That's a grand total 27% of your week that is entirely devoted to gaming. Color me impressed.
Just finished that game last weekend. I basically played through it in one sitting because it was so captivating. Each quadrilateral was given life through the great narration. I loved the personalities of Claire (giant blue Square), Chris (orange square), and Sarah (purple rectangle) in the game. Anyone who hasn't played it or are hesitant make sure you look for in the impending Steam sale. It's a great little gem.
I hope Sony will allow gamers to play the Gaikai versions of their physical disc based games. I don't think they would allow this if the service was free (doesn't require PS+), but if you have PS+ I hope they offer something like this.
"ask ourselves how much a video game can effect a persons view of mortality"
I think as we get closer and closer to true realism, this question will begin to cease to matter. I think the fact that this question continues to exists is simply because we have yet to achieve real photo-realism that really can alter the morality of the general public. To me the more interesting question is how much can our morality affect our choice of games.
Alarmists...
